The inky/blue/purple-tinged 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Progeny Vineyard displays copious amounts of crushed rock, spring flower, blueberry, boysenberry, and other dark fruits intermixed with espresso and white chocolate notes… It is capable of lasting over two decades.

Progeny Vineyard is located 1,000 feet above sea level on Mount Veeder. The soils are dominated by fragments of rock that range from large boulders to small grains of sand and are high in magnesium, a mineral necessary for the formation of chlorophyll. The 2007 growing season…

Winemaker's Comments:
Aromas of blackberry and black currant along with Red Delicious apple and hints of sage greet the nose. This wine is full-bodied and rich with mature tannins and a graham cracker, finish and lingering smoke and black pepper. The wine is aged in 97 percent new French oak for nineteen months.
