Fresh and full of character, this firmly-structured Cabernet weaves ripe notes of black currant and Santa Rosa plum with black licorice and a shade of mint tea. Built for aging, this is a classic hillside Cab, with good weight, polished tannins and a mouthwatering finish that carries hints of dried lavender, coffee and toast. Gnocchi with brown butter and sage would be a good match here, as would grilled duck breasts with a cherry-plum sauce.
